During the rut, the big boys ain't punching a time clock. If they're not there when the doe gets ready there may be someone else to do their homework for them. So during the rut, its a 24/7 kinda thing.
I had an absolute wall hanger come acrost my front yard about midday when my wife and I were sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and watching four does that were browsing in the yard. The does took off for the woods with their tails in the air (here it is big boy) with the buck hot in behind 'em.
