165 Gr. BTSP Nosler solid base, (I bought several boxes from an old store before they closed) in my 30-06. Consistantly gives .30-.40 groups. Good luck and good shooting

Generaly the most accurate are simple bullets like Ballistic tips or Sierra's. The only exception is my .375 H&H which shoots Swift A-frames into one big hole at 100 yds.
Probably 140 BT's out of my .280 Rem, on a good day 7/8" at 200 yds, for four shots.

I've found what you say to be generally true. But the .300 Weatherby doesn't seem to like boattail bullets. Also, on the Reloading forum, for anyone here who hasn't seen it, there's a very long and sometimes very heated thread (now runs to almost 500 posts) on whether Sierra Matchkings are a suitable hunting bullet.

Yeah, I saw that post and please let's not start the same debate here -- BUT -- I don't give a damn how well one can shoot or how many Bongo they have collected with their trusty 222 and 52 gr target bullets at 1000 yards +. If one consistently shoots game with any target bullet, Matchkings included, they are setting themselves up for disaster.
My most accurate hunting bullets presently are. .257 Wby 120 gr. Nosler Partition, 7mm STW 160 gr. Barnes XlC, .300 Win 180 gr. Nosler Partition, .340 Wby 225 gr. Barnes XLC and North Fork, .358 STA 225 gr. and 250 gr. North Fork. All barrels are different, they will tell you what they like. Lately most of mine have been telling me the North Fork is the most accurate and toughest hunting bullet around, and I shoot all of them, excluding the GS bullets. I also shoot all the target bullets and fireform with them. When an animal is hunted above deer size the monolighic's or H-Mantle or semi-monolithic's are used exclusively. Good shooting.
