Looking for big bison this winter? I have nine bulls available from a Montana reservation. These animals range on 2.5 million acres and are mature bulls with starting weights of 2500 pounds.

Pricing is all inclusive $3000 for a four day hunt and includes birds: upland, geese and duck.

We are calling it a surf and turf hunt. A 50% deposit will hold your spot.

Ann, can you define "all inclusive" please. I realize transportation is not included, but when you get an animal that size on the ground, "all inclusive" takes on a whole new meaning. Skinning help, dressing help, butchering? Notice I said help. I would not expect to be a spectator.

Thanks.

Larry

I agree and I apologize for the confusion, by inclusive I meant the price included the bull bison, no additional tag or license for it.

There is professional butchering available at extra cost. I do not know what they are charging, it is probably by the pound. It will take a day to process one of these animals.

This is a trophy hunt, expect to hunt the biggest of the BIG bison bulls. The outfitter said he expects some new SCI trophies to come out of there. We started off with 21 bulls, as of last night there were nine left on quota.

He told me a couple of these animals were down right mean and even the tribes people feared them.

Just curious Ann, does that $3000 include a room and meals?

I assume you get meat and hide and horns for that price? Quite a bit of meat there.

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

Won't a bison completely fill a 14cubic ft freezer? Smiler

Ann,

I have heard the wing shooting alone is a huge extra benefit. In fact do you offer packages for just that? I need to forward that to a friend of mine.

TBG,

Drop me an email or send me a phone number so I can see exactly what your group wants. For instance if one of you just wants a bison and the other is only interested in birds I need to know. I am sure we can work something out.

John,

Not the Crow. I confirmed. Smiler

This is the smallest one shot last year:

Processing will run .30 to .40 cents a pound. It is quartered and hung at the processor.

Ann, Whats "surf" part about? Is their fishing involved?

Seems like a neat package. Any more trophy shots?

Cheers,
Canuck

Canuck,

My guess is the "surf" is the waterfowl in the package Wink

Ann,

Nice bull! So that's a small one. Gonna make a note somewhere Smiler

Canuck, yip, the surf is the waterfowl. I was told today there are so many ducks and geese they are becoming lumped in to rodent status because no one hunts them. Of course you have to abide by the Montana season on the desired species which they tend to change each year.

I wish I had my camera with me earlier this month. The SCI #3 head (nice skull mount) was there and it really was big. Everybody who walked by the booth stopped and asked about it. It was taken in 2004. The hunter is one of my chapter members. I believe he and several others booked a bunch of spots for this winter.
