Here's a couple of pictures of the buck i took on Tuesday, Nov. 9th right before dark. He was chasing a doe (dumb ass)!!!

Weight........wasn't that heavy. Dressed out, he weighed in at 185 lbs.

13 scoreable pts.- inside spread was 19"

Yea, those dumb bucks...always thinking with their dumbsticks. Nice buck! What did you kill him with?

that's pretty impressive, give some details on where he was shot, private/public, managed/unmanaged, gps coordinates (haha, joking), but seriously...

Info on the buck/area

We have 320 acres south of where we live that we hunt on. Bought most of the land about 20+ yrs. ago and have been hunting there ever since.

We have about 6 different food plots (varies on the year) on the land and amazingly, have yet to kill a big one on any of the fields. Most of the bucks we kill are off in the woods.
We plant corn, soybeans, clover, a little alfalfa and usually try something new.

The deer over the years have almost seemed to go totally nocturnal. Don't see them like we used to.

We also have a timber wolf problem up there. There is a pack not to far from our camp and they seemed to swing through every once in awhile. In fact, i heard the pack howling tonight......and they weren't that far away. Eeerie feeling !!

Caliber i used to shoot the deer:
338 Win. Mag. - go big or go home !!!!

Seriously...........i usually use a .280, but didn't get time to site the gun in before season. I travel quite a bit for work, have a 3 1/2 year old at home (with wife), got home from the elk hunt only a week before deer hunting. and just didn't get time. Did a nice job though.........
