A friend of mine mentioned that he had recently read an article in one of the hunting magazines about hybridization between muleys and whitetails (a subject very near and dear to my heart ) and he can't remember where it was. Does this ring any bells for anyone--where was (is) this article published? IV minus 300 posts from my total (for all the times I should have just kept my mouth shut......)

Seems I have seen one in the past few months but it was not as informative as I would have expected. This may or may not be the one that your friend is refering to, the article I read was not very good. I will look and see if I still have the mag sitting around here. The guy that wrote the article was no Val Geist. DTH

Same here. In fact I think that article came out about the time we had that other thread going when I asked you about it and whether or not those animals were sterile. I remember seeing a picture of a kill in that article where the deer appeared to be a mulie with a slightly smaller brisket, and more fawn color to the hair as opposed to the typical full mulie gray (grey). Also it had a complete whitetail antler configuration. Maybe Deer and Deer hunting...cannot remember. I bring my magazines to the office and a number of patients are hunters and leave with them.
