Pronghorn & Mule Deer, Wyoming

If you haven't done a mule deer & pronghorn hunt in Wyoming - consider it! Not my first time hunting Wyoming, but a fine trip, October 2012. Three of us hunted for a few days, each tagged a mule deer buck and a pronghorn buck. Relatively easy terrain, and a fair amount of game. Lots of fun. The pronghorn was a bit more work than I thought it would be. Also zapped a coyote!

Used my trusty .25-06 700 CDL on everything. It worked out just fine.

Who was your outfitter?

Todd

Knowing Guy, he is an expert hunter and rifle shot. I can almost guarantee that he would be more in a position to guide a hunt that he would be to go on a guided hunt.

Jokingly, the last time I went hunting with him a herd of white faced cows (Herford) mistook us for their feed truck and it took me about 30 minutes to get them out of the way so we could go through a gate. Lots of deer sign that day but they were a little bit spooky because of all the recent pressure on them. This hunting area was within 30 minutes of guy's house, but I wasn't there very long in this was just a chance to take a short trip to see what was happening in a nearby canyon.
