Saeed

It would be very sad to see all the wildlife spolied by soldiers or hungry Iraqi's.

According to old books about hunting the north part of Iraq used to have very good hunting or Gazelles, sheeps and ibex.

I guess hunting has bee complety forbidden for normal peoples during the Saddam regime, soo the game population should be fairly good [Smile]

"We hunted them with rocks (at first), as Stone Age as that sounds," Wicksell said. "We gutted them and skinned them and pretty much carried them over our shoulders barbarian-style."

That is garanteed to get PETA's panties in a bunch.. [Big Grin]

If you would like to get a taste of this read some of Jack O'Connors stories about hunting in neighboring Iran. They will give you an idea of what hunting on that border, at least, would resemble-in days gone by.
