Ann - That appears to be Estes Park, Co. (Rocky Mtn National Park) Elk have been a huge problem up there forever.

Looks like all the bulls have ear tags. I am assuming they are micro chipped too to prevent poaching?

Dear Ann:

When my wife and I lived in Colorado from 2004-2006, we used to visit Estes Park in the off season. Those elk were both interesting to watch and a major pain in the ass.

I, personally, would treat them like horses, and talk to them. Sometimes they listened, I think.

Sincerely,

Chris Bemis

I could never live there.

It would be like Marion Barry living next door to a crack house.
