Gentlemen, Have any of you heard of a problem in Quebec involving large numbers of Caribou dying? I heard the Hunt Report posted it today in their email extra. I was hoping that one of you is a hunt report subscriber and could post the email if it is true. Since I have booked another hunt for this September, I have a vested interest. Thanks, BOWHUNR

It is a topic that should be taken with a grain of salt. All herd animals run in a cycle. Constant growth ending in a crash. The QL Caribou herds are enormous. The highest count I have ever heard was around 800,000. If they suffered a 50% loss (which is unlikely), they would still be bigger than the Mulchatna herd which I think runs 250,000. I did not get the e-mail so I am just going on my knowledge of the two herds. (My numbers could be wrong, but then again, so could I) ------------------
