Good shooting Lawcop. I don't blame your buddy for not stretching his -06 beyond 300yds tho. That's why I got a 300RUM, the old -06 gets kind of puny over 300yds. You REALLY have to know your ballistics tables at that range to make em count with an -06. And you usually don't get sighters with caribou.

You say an outfitter set you up with your hunt in 3' of snow while others around you had the help of machines?? I'd consider a different outfitter or a different type of hunt??
