It's time to start looking for a new pair of boots to invest in. So if any person here has any experience with Hanwag boots I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions? Specifically if you've used the Trapper Top GTX. My next pair of boots will get anything that the Colorado Rockies can throw at them plus any futer palns for the similarly rugged places. Blow down to talus and scree slides my next boots must be able to handle it. How is the foot bed support? This is a big concern for me as I have a true nuetral gait and have run into problems with boots and shoes with too much medial support built in. How is the overall stiffness of Hanwag products? What is you opinion of the construction of the boots you have? Have they held up? How do they compare to other brands you may have experience with, say Lowa or Meindle? Thanks for any feedback

I see no one has responded to your post, so let me throw in some second hand words. I read good reports by guys who use Hanwag boots, but I have never used them. Don

Hey--I have and use HANWAG boots. Very comfortable and easy on the feet. I usually wear my boots for a year before putting them to the hunting test. HANWAG can be hunted immediately. There are a lot of boots on the market to fit all kind of feet but for my money I will only buy HANWAG. They are a little expensive but, what isn't if it's good.

Thanks Chuck. Is the Trapper the boot model you have?
