Deer Hunter Leaps To Safety After Helicopter Blades Rip Through Tree (MEDORA, IN) - A deer hunter leaped to safety just before rotating blades of a tree trimmer suspended from a helicopter ripped through his tree stand and crossbow. Darren "Andy" Royalty, 45, of Seymour was chased from his tree stand while hunting Friday on property he owns in the Medora area. The helicopter-powered saw was trimming trees in the area of power lines for Duke Energy, Jackson County Sheriff's Department reported. © 2013 Ad-Venture Media, Inc. I don't know why there would be any reason to leap to safety. Obviously, the hunter would hear the helicopter, and if he was sitting on a power line opening, he should have been able to see and know what was going on. Leaping to safety is a bit much, IMHO.
