Tanoose- I have a Burris Speed Dot on my .454 Casull. It's a great Red Dot that is well built.Red Dots are more for quicker short range target aquisition than precision longer range accuracy.I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with the factory sights and wanted something quick to the target and accurate. The Red Dot filled that need well for me.If they only didn't need battery's.

Just my opinion.Jayco.

They might be ok where it is warm all the time. But up here in the north the batterys drain real fast when the temp. drops. They seem to go dead when you need them the most.
