Here are some pictures of bears on one of my baits (I am not a guide, I just bait for myself and hunt them)

BTW the barrel is a 35 gallon, not a 55.

I shot one, and a friend of mine shot a bear on a different bait about 1 mile away from me.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Baiting is still open until the 26 of Sept, and hunting bear with hounds just opened up this week.

You should come back up and go out with a hound hunter if you can, you already bought your tag and license for the year. The bigger beard usually get taken by hounds men.
