Cheap Texas exotics

Inquiring if anyone has any leads into "cheap" Texas exotics. I know what most are supposed to cost, and I have paid to hunt some of them. I am asking if anyone has any connections for lesser trophies? Most places offer or describe "Gold Medal" SCI critters for a premium price. Best I've found is Axis bucks for $695. These are supposed to be Golds. I have to make some calls, but I think I've called before and they're on 40 acres, high fenced. Nice heads probably, but what fun to teach a new hunter??? Sure I'd like a Gold Medal Axis buck with 35" mains, but I don't have the cash to "buy" such a critter, and if I did, I'd blow it on a real hunt for mulies somewhere.

Other than assorted rams, anyone know where I may get my new hunting buddy and I on for Silver or Bronze medal critters?? He may be into one of the Texas 7 rams, as they are usually $500 or so. Surely some of these ranches must have either older bucks coming down or just not reaching full potential. I just don't have any "ins" over there. Any tips on such or cull critters???

I lost my last issue of Texas Trophy Hunter, but do remember seeing a Hog Eradication add, anyone have a ranch name, location or number???

How many hogs do you encounter on that kind of hunt/shoot?

Nebraska,
That is a hard to say, depends on a lot of things like weather etc. But the least I recall is about 3 and the most about a dozen..check out my web page, some nice pictures. The ranches name is Venado Grande and is near Del Rio, Texas. They have a lot of hogs and you can hunt Javalina, coyotes, Bobcats also and the success rate is high on them most of the time..He also has some huge deer...Everyone has come home perfectly satisfied I can say that for sure.
