You won't have to drive as far as Dawson Creek. Plenty of opportunities to collect bison-meat-on-the-hoof in Alberta. Last price I heard was $400 Canadian for a cow. And that was close to Calgary. In fact, I might be "hunting" one of those myself soon. Of course I wouldn't need to if I had shot a couple of deer :-( Frans | ||

Is there such a thing as a true Bison hunt? First let me say I have never paid to hunt. I have paid for room and board and tags, but not to hunt or be guided. I started asking myself this question last year when I saw a hunt listed here. I talked to the person running the hunt. I also talked to several people who had hunted Bison. I was wishy washy about it really being a hunt and then financially I realized I couldn�t do it. So I am still left with the question, is there a way of truly hunting Bison in the lower 48. BTW, I am not trying to steal your thread, I assume someone will chime in telling us where to find a shoot and maybe where to find a hunt. | |||
