FrostbitSpeed Goats with a Double (Mulie added)
Took a little poetic license with the thread title to get Cal's blood pressure up. We actually doubled on Pronghorns in Wyoming. Used a bolt action rifle we shared. Sorry Cal

Cheers

cal pappasYour
"Sorry, Cal" does not quite heal the wound. Don't worry, though, I will work through this with my therapist and medication.
Congratulations on the hunt to both of you.
Cal
PS. Any word on your .450 case?

She told the rancher she didn't want to shoot over 200 yards. I ranged the Goat at 160 but by the time she set up it moved off "a little" and stopped. She was not pleased to hear it was a little over 240 when she pole axed it on the spot.

Mine was 208 right behind the shoulder. All that blood on the cape was from the tub we threw it in to move it to where Joyce dropped hers so we could compose the photo.

I was gonna say I've seen hundreds and
shot over a dozen and never seen a red
one til this.
Nice bucks though.
Thanks for sharing.

Bill/OregonNice work, you two! Reminds me I should apply for an antelope tag down here in NM one of these days.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

D. NelsonI joined Jim & Joyce on this hunt. Although they both shot very well (drop down dead), Joyce’s pronghorn was bigger than Jim’s!!!

Best regards, D. Nelson
PS—-mine was the smallest!!!!

And, if more truth is told, Joyce has shot my 4-bore. Jim has not.

No one trusts the memory of someone as old as you. Especially if they have had TBI from multiple big bore shots.

Thanks Ann, you'll get a kick out of the fact Joyce threw it into the back of the truck with the ranch hand. I watched.

Later the Rancher told Joyce, "You're pretty strong for being so scrawny".
