Does anyone know of a good outfitter/lodge in SC, GA or AL? The wife and I want to hunt some whitetail this year closer to home. We just want to see plenty of deer and harvest animals that represent the species in that area (to include does). SCI, B&C, ABC, LMNOP, NAACP means nothing to us.

I never hunted here, but saw many nice deer and turkey on the property when driving back and forth to work. I has been a while back though-- are 1990 when I lived in Alabama.

If you are interested in hunting GA, I would suggest you join a hunting club here. Many clubs in South GA have annual dues that are cheaper than a 3 day hunt at a plantation. I have done a few corporate hunts on plantations in GA and AL, including White Oak that Buckeye listed. I didnt feel they were any better than a good piece of leased land.

Take a look at the GON Forum, they have a section for clubs seeking memebers and hunters seeking clubs

Good luck!

Try watervalleylodge.com.
Jake and Pia Utsey run a great operation. I saw numerous bucks, but was holding out for something special and took a doe for meat. Another hunter took 2 bucks in the 120-130" range while I was there. You'll score points with the wife, as well.
