I have had some cancellations and would like to fill a couple spots on this Saskatchewan Bear hunt.

Normal cost $1600 (will be $1800 next year) discounted to $1200. If I get a group of 4, I will go $1150/person.

License fees, in Canadian $:

$165 CAN - Non-Resident Bear Tag (About $120 US$)

$11 CAN - Saskatchewan Wildlife Habitat Certificate (About $8 US$)

$50 CAN - Non-resident fishing (About $36)

Total licenses in US$ = about $165 US$

This is a baited hunt in Saskatchewan, 2x1 Guide, all meals accommodations, trophy care, fishing, 4 wheelers, etc. Included. Hunt in the evening, fish in the morning.

Dates: (Sunday to Sunday, hunt Monday-Fri, he will hunt Saturday if you are not successful by Fri.)

May 16-23

May 23-30

May 30-June 6

Bears are not huge, but color phase is a good possibility here.

Fishing is good, Pike and Walleye. He has boats, but most opt to fish from shore.

Fly to Saskatoon, the outfitter will pick you up and drive you into camp.

Please call or e-mail for more information. I have been here. He has a very nice and remote camp with log cabins as accommodations. Very fun and relaxing hunt.

Hi Wendell,

NICE price on this hunt! If I wasn't on my way up to Idaho in June, I'd be booking this one in a heartbeat!

Best,

That is an excellent price. I paid that clear back in 1995 and I haven't seen it that low in SK since. At least not anywhere worth going. Wish I didn't have other obligations or I'd be all over that. Where exactly in SK is this located?

About 2 1/2 hrs north of Saskatoon, close to Big River. Close to Dori Lake (sp?).

It is a good hunt, quite relaxing since you do not have to get up early. Most will just get up, eat breakfast, drink some coffee then go down to the lake and fish. About half the time, the outfitter will come down to the lake with the cook and have a shore lunch. You head to the blind between 2-4 and hunt until dark.

He has boats, but we usually just fished from the shore. Occasionally, we would take the boat and explore the lake and try to find some Walleye.

It is possible to fly fish from the shore here. There is enough room for your backcast.

He does a lot with bowhunters, so he is set up and ready if anyone likes to bow hunt.
