I used to spend a lot of time around McCook. Imperial and Trenton. Saw a lot of really good mulies and whitetails in that area.

Nice buck!

Was that buck killed down around McCook? When I used to hunt Nebraska I would drive thru McCook on 83 headed up to either the Sandhills area, between Thetford and Valentine, or the Pine ridge area around Crawford and Fort Robinson. Saw some really good deer between McCook and North Platte if I was going thru there at the right time of day.

Really great looking buck.

It's simply a nice buck taken a couple miles from my house and I'm about 30 miles east of Imperial.

I don't know who killed it except to say it's someone local and they claim 498 pounds ......and frankly I don't believe it for a minute.....it might make 300 give or take....

I have one close to it mounted in my shop from the sandhills taken with a .257 Roberts back in 2001 but this one is a real trophy as well....we see a few very nice mulies every year but this is exceptional...

Vapo,

Congrats! I got a doe(WT) and small 5pt "meat" buck(WT...he committed suicide) and cow elk (elk ranch hunt) near Chadron this last weekend with my 7 Rem Mag. Seen a few really good mulies and a couple of good WT taken up there.

Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like a nice muley, no matter where it was taken.
