They are an awsome pig gun out to 125 yds. or so. With the right bullet configurations, they would handle anything you wanted to hunt in south america, out to reasonable ranges. Mad Dog | |||

Thanks guys I'll let you know if I make the deal. 99% of the shots are over running pigs at short distances so it seems the ideal gun for the southamerican bush. LG | |||

.444 or 45/70 6 to one hald a dozen the other. The .444 will be absoulutely dynamic out to 160 or so yards. I beleive they shoot a little flatter than the 45/70 ??? Buy it as soon as you can !!! | |||

Lorenzo, I have shot recently at 100 m with bench rest material my .444 Lever Rifle. My Marlin has a 3-9X40 scope. It was a 240 gr jacketed bullet with 56 gr of powder like H335. You can't imagine the accuracy of this caliber at 100 m. But I wouldn't shoot anything over 150 m with this rifle. For me a verstile caliber for madium games. | |||
