Think I would like a new deer call and the gun season starts on 10 Nov here in Missouri. Any recommendations? I guess Wal Mart would be my only option with such a short notice.

I'm with Ted on the Primos Hardwood Grunter. I've got an older version of it. I cut some off the tube and put a rubber band a little higher on the reed to make it less deep. I think most grunt calls are way too deep sounding compared to any live deer grunt I have heard.

30+ years experience tells me that perfection hit at .264. Others are adequate but anything before or after is wishful thinking.
