This was a nice bull elk that was shot on the same ranch as the whitetail that I posted, except this one was gutshot by roadhunters. My Dad found it dead. It was one of the nicer elk on the ranch.

How did you determine that it was killed by road hunters?
From what I've seen of Wy and Co, most of the elk are killed by road hunters. How do you hunt elk?

This particular elk was shot on a South Texas ranch that is high-fenced, so there's no way anybody shot it from inside the ranch.
