Before and after pictures of first deer of 2007. 9pt taken November 5th at 5:55pm. 228yard shot by laser rangefinder. Field dressed 128lb. Rifle was 257 Weatherby Mag with 110gr Nosler Accubond. Complete pass through with lots of blood shot meat on off side. Deer ran about 25 steps. Picture quality was poor due to low light and morning fog. The two pictures are roughly 9 to 10 hours apart. The first is the morning picture in foggy conditions hence the picture quality. As you can tell, he has me pegged and ran. Caught back up to him about 5:55pm and the second picture is the result. I had seen the deer the weekend after Labor Day while still in velvet. If you look at the second picture you can see the exit wound from the Accubond. At the distance there was virtually no drop in the projectile from the 257. Great rifle that handles well in the field. The 257 Lasermark topped with 8.5x25x50 Leupold: Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor | |||
