I am in a plane 35,000 feet over the AZ desert on my way to meet Mark Young for a desert mule deer hunt that he set up for us. I got word a couple hours ago that the guys scored on a deer this morning. I can't wait to see it.

Mark came in 2 days ago to start hunting with my cameraman, and I decided to come in today through Thursday so I could spend the past couple of days with the wife and kids after a week in WY.

Now Mark can be a spotter for me Big Grin!
This really should be a neat hunt. We are 1 hour outside of Phoenix in an area of the desert where the farmers irrigate cotton and a few other crops. I guess the deer hit the crops hard in the evenings and go back to lie up in the desert during the day. Our outfitter Ben Boon has some great trail pix of deer from the past 2 months, so this should be fun.

Good Hunting,

I hope you brought sunscreen. I was in Eloy last week, it was 101 in the middle of the day. Good luck on the hunt.
