Come on guys? What's with it here? JAG goes out and has a perfect hunt, makes a SURGICAL SHOT, lawfully tags his bear, does everything right, and after he arrives home thinks of us and thought he would share the story and the bear. Didn't even bother to put himself IN the pictures. (NOT what I would exactly call an ego trip for JAG.)

And now some of you want to attack him because there are a couple of coke cans in his truck!!! [Eek!]

Any hunter who hasn't staggered home covered in gore hasn't hunted much is all I can say.

Buell - What the hell are you doing trying to play Mr. Self Righteous here? You haven't had enough hunting experience yet to even have a clue what it's all about. If JAG's post makes you feel green around the gills, perhaps you should sell you guns and take up cross stitch or paint by the numbers. Hunting is a pretty rough sport.

Personally I think you're coming off like as ass here. What the hell are you doing home anyway? You missed going to gunsmith school because you didn't bother to get the paperwork in on time. Then you kiss everyone goodby and tell us you're going off to join the Coast Guard and now you're back making an ass of yourself again.

I think some people could fall down in a hospital operating room and still land face down in a pile of shit. And I'm starting to think Buell is one of them. Well, I can quite easily see I am not the only one who thinks the pictures are distasteful.

And for your info, I wasnt able to get my paperwork in because for one I had to go to Austria to get my admission documents, fly back home, and get the visa in time for school's first day, which wasnt possible. Dont put that on me...

I thought the most sought after shot on game was through the vitals, IE, lungs, heart, spine; so how is a shot through the jaw "surgically executed"?

Thanks for your addition to this post, as well as steiny. It often amazes me why some hunters are so callous about their endevours and furthermore they dont give a fuck about what the NON HUNTING community thinks, that is the issue, not ANTI's because we all know they cannot be changed and never would be open to thought. In the end its the NON hunting community that is going to make or break us, so by saying 'you' dont care about it is quite self destructive.

The top was a .300 win mag and 180g Swift A-frame at about 100 yards.

The second was a 150g Rem. Corelokt out of a 7mm mag at about 300 yards

The bottom was a .338 Ultra and .210 Barnes X at about 100+ yards.

Tender vitals, huh?

Honestly, I don't care. Either picture is acceptable to me. Both bears are dead. What matters most to me is the method the bear was taken. Jag did everything right in this respect and doesn't deserve to be reamed on because there is pop bottles in the back of HIS truck with his God damned bear!

And I am still trying to figure out WTF the Holocaust has to do with this!
