Ray when did you frist discover the 9.3x62 and what were the reason behind the discovery?? Me I discovered it by accident really. I wanted a new rifle and came across an ad for the CZ line and saw they had a 9.3. So wanting to be diffrent I ordered the 550 in 9.3x62. I havent hunted any DG with it but I have shot 6 Deer and they all droped in there tracks. Kinda of reminded me of that old 270 that you wouldnt have one of. Deadly!

Tell us some African storyies of the 9.3.

My first use of the 9.3x62 was a number of years ago when I was invited on a 2 day buff cull..It was a borrowed gun and I was a little concerned about the caliber, but beggers can't be choosers, boy was I wrong, it killed the black bulls with abandon as O'Conner used to say....

Had one ever since and have killed a LOT of big game and nasty animals with it...I like it as well as the 375 H&H and can tell little difference in the two, as to killing power...Just another example of the BS of paper balistics and actual field use....It is great Lion medicine..I use the 320 gr. Woodleighs and the 386 gr. Noslers and lately I have been using the 250 gr. Nosler Bal. tips and Swifts..They work great but only time will tell, I'm still testing them...As my PHs all say, "bloody nice gun, the 9.3x62", all of them, to the man and thats as good a recommendation as you can find...
