1) Make sure to wash it without introducing ultraviolet brighteners and spray the garment with a oriduxct called "UV Killer". 2) Use "Blaze camo" provided the pattern meets the miniumum square inch requirement for your hunting area. I was a non-believer until I tried it, since then (about 6 years ago) I have had 3 mule deer nearly step on me (literally within 5 feet) in the middle of grass fields. Good luck! IV minus 300 posts from my total (for all the times I should have just kept my mouth shut......)

Animals don't (speaking in general terms) see into the red end of the spectrum. There was a fellow in Montana that made the point by calling coyotes in a Santa suit. No problem. Animals, however, DO have SOME ability to see into the BLUE end of the spectrum: your blue jeans stand out like a beacon, especially if they are a bit faded. The UV brighteners, as mentioned, are the main culprit. Wash your hunting clothes (all of them) in detergent without perfumes and brighteners. FWIW, Dutch. Life's too short to hunt with an ugly dog.
