1) Make sure to wash it without introducing ultraviolet brighteners and spray the garment with a oriduxct called "UV Killer".

2) Use "Blaze camo" provided the pattern meets the miniumum square inch requirement for your hunting area.

I was a non-believer until I tried it, since then (about 6 years ago) I have had 3 mule deer nearly step on me (literally within 5 feet) in the middle of grass fields.

Animals don't (speaking in general terms) see into the red end of the spectrum.

There was a fellow in Montana that made the point by calling coyotes in a Santa suit. No problem.

Animals, however, DO have SOME ability to see into the BLUE end of the spectrum: your blue jeans stand out like a beacon, especially if they are a bit faded.

The UV brighteners, as mentioned, are the main culprit. Wash your hunting clothes (all of them) in detergent without perfumes and brighteners. FWIW, Dutch.
