I am looking for a Sythetic (not Wood) for my Remington 700 ADL 30-06. I would perfer to by it from Cabelas, so I can use my points. Do I need any special "bedding" on the stock. Some seem to come on it, some dont. Any help is much appreciated. Thank, W.

Don't know how much you want to spend but you could do alot worse than getting a Rem factory replacement syn stock from Cabelas. They have both camo and black. I replaced the wood stock on a friends .270 ADL with a black syn stock and it was a drop in conversion. Having said that,I have a Brown Precision on my rifle and there is a difference in the weight, egronomics, and general overall quality in favor in mine but at ALOT more expense. til later

Isn't Cabelas the outfitter of the world with a generous return policy? Then buy every brand that fits your rifle and return all the ones that you don't like. That was simple, wasn't it?

I put a Bell and Carlson "Carbelite" on a 700 ADL and I loved it. It softened up the recoil and the gun shot a lot tighter groups. I put it through many years of hell with no problems. Elite Archery and High Country dealer.

I like the HS Precision ADL Sporter stocks. I have one on a 700 7RM ADL and it shoots like a dream. The HS stocks are durable, comfy, and they look great IMO. Have a Good One, Reloader

Reloader, was the new stock lighter than the factory? And also does it sound hollow in the but area like the factory one? I whant to upgrade my two 700 ADL's factory plastic with laid glass. ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

Ted, I don't know the exact weight, but I will say with the aluminum block it feels alittle heavier than the original plastic. It's not as heavy as laminate and really not that heavy at all IMO. No, the HSs don't have the hollow sound to them like the tupperware. I've bedded BC stocks and they seem fine, but they are not as rigid as the HS as they have alittle flex to them. You can hull out the channel easily and avoid any contact. I haven't used the medalist BC with the block though. I'd have to say I feel the HS is a slightly better stock. I have a couple that are not bedded and a couple that are and they all seem to shoot fantastic. I've heard that the lifetime warranty is void if you bed them, but warranty on a stock seems alittle silly to me anyway. Have a Good One, Reloader

The houge stock is nice also and not that expensive. I believe it is offered with pillars, or full-length aluminum bedding block for the ADL. I follow Rule #62.

Stuff the hollow butt with packing peanuts. I had a 6 enterprises stock on .350 Remington and it shot great but I don"t know if they are in business anymore

If you just want a factory ADL stock, I have one I could sell you for $50 shipped to your door. I made a custom rifle out of an ADL about a year ago and just have the stock sitting around. It's brand new, I never even fired the rifle in the factory stock. Let me know. NoCAL
