Last month I went on my first mule deer hunt in Colarado. It was only a two day hunt because I had to be back to school in Houston on Monday. The trip was awesome and I can't wait to go back next year. I have preference points for Mule deer and antelope saved up. I didn't get a big one this time, but this was one of my favorite hunts anyways. We were on the BLM land in Craig. This was taken moments after I shot him, he was down in the valley behind me.

Weidmannsheil Stratus. Sure looks like a great hunt in some lovely country! - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... It entices its bearer into primeval forests, into mountains and deserts untenanted by man. - Horace Kephart

Thanks for the kind words guys, it was beautiful country. It just takes some getting used to for a flat-lander. mho, I have to say I wasn't sure what Weidmannsheil meant, I had to look it up. It's interesting reading about the tradition. Thanks again Jay
