Last month I went on my first mule deer hunt in Colarado. It was only a two day hunt because I had to be back to school in Houston on Monday. The trip was awesome and I can't wait to go back next year. I have preference points for Mule deer and antelope saved up. I didn't get a big one this time, but this was one of my favorite hunts anyways.

We were on the BLM land in Craig.

This was taken moments after I shot him, he was down in the valley behind me.

Weidmannsheil Stratus. Sure looks like a great hunt in some lovely country!

Hey Stratus, Great flicks and congratulations on the kill.

Interesting country, snow in one flick and short sleeves with the Deer.

Thanks for the kind words guys, it was beautiful country. It just takes some getting used to for a flat-lander.

mho, I have to say I wasn't sure what Weidmannsheil meant, I had to look it up. It's interesting reading about the tradition.

Thanks again Jay
