Hey, what do you know! I drew area 7 "any deer" late Oct, and my daughter (youth) drew 18B Javelina in late Nov.

Wow! We got tags!

Waiting on my father to return from vacation to see if he drew a deer tag. If he did, he was going to sign it over to my daughter.

I can't believe we drew tags!

Good for you Slowpoke. I've never drawn in AZ but have heard great things about it. I did points only for deer and elk and did try for sheep. No luck.
Hope you and your daughter get a couple nice deer.

My son drew a Deer tag for 24B and we both drew Turkey tags in 23. No Sheep tags again. But I have a long way to go to catch up with AzGuy.

The only thing the Arizona draw did for me was to confirm that I am 0 for 2009 in big game drawings all across the west. I applied for approximately 2 dozen tags.

At least my son drew 2 primo pronghorn tags, one in California and one in Nevada. That season opens in less than a month.

Although I struck gold in the elk/pronghorn draw earlier this year, I came up empty for the sheep/deer..

Plan on picking up an OTC for coues..

Will be a good warm up for chasin' coues in Mexico later in the season!

Shawn,

Glad you enjoyed it and congrats on your permit.

My son and I got shut out on deer (late Kaibab hunts) and I didn't get a sheep permit for about the 35th year in a row. Frowner

We're going to apply for one of the left-over Coues permits down south. That way we'll still retain our BPs for the Kaibab hunts, which are the only ones I list as my 1st and 2nd choices.

36C late season for me. Not sure if I should be more concerned about having never seen a coues deer before or the illegal alien activity warnings I keep hearing about this unit.

River,

Yeah, just like 36B, which I hunt, 36C is major corridor for illegal traffic. Just stay alert and be vigilant. The illegal worker types are mostly harmless; it's the drug runners that can pose a problem.
