I am looking for any recommendations for a rifle hunt for boar in the upper midwest. Within about 8 hours of Chicago. Any suggestions? Pete

I am interest in what you hear. I am in Chicagoland, but have only gone for boar in California (where my parents live). Great boar hunting though. It sure would be nice to find something relatively nearby.

I know of 2 places in Michigan. I haven't hunted either place, but they both have websites. One, is Renegade Ranch, Cheboygan, Mi., and the other is Ted Nugent's Sunrize Acres. Type the names in your search engine, and take a look. If you are willing to go about 10 hrs. south of Chicago, I can vouch for 2 places in Tenn. Clarkrange hunting lodge, and Caryonah hunting lodge. Both also have websites. I've hunted Clarkrange several times, in years past, and can vouch for the beautiful[and rugged] terrain, and the boars. That place will give you all you want in a 2 day hunt. BTW, both of the Tenn. places are significantly larger than the 2 places in Mich. Almost forgot, read about a place in southern Illinois called Coal Creek Farms, you might check it out also. Mad Dog
