sikandertopgun im not talking about can hunting,since i never been on a elk hunt in usa and dont know any thing regarding where to go.naturally when someone go hunting he go in pursuit of big animal,and i think 8x8 elk is big ,so my question is which area is good to find big elk my friend.

8x8 elk are
very uncommon and you would not find them outside of a breeding program unless you were very lucky. They are not generally raised like stag.
That said, you don't eat the horns and a western US elk hunt is an amazing experience. Find a good booking agent to put you in touch with a reputable outfitter and you won't be disappointed with a 5x5.

For elk in the US a 6x6 is consider a very nice trophy. Of course a 6x6 can very greatly in size.
While many trophy hunters would not consider a 5x5 worthy of shooting, for many people a 5x5 would be consider a nice animal.
There are many good states to hunt elk in:
Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Utah are probably the most popular.

Never under estimate the internet community's ability to reply to your post with their personal rant about their tangentially related, single occurrence issue.
What I have learned on AR, since 2001:
1. The proper answer to: Where is the best place in town to get a steak dinner? is…You should go to Mel's Diner and get the fried chicken.
2. Big game animals can tell the difference between .015 of an inch in diameter, 15 grains of bullet weight, and 150 fps.
3. There is a difference in the performance of two identical projectiles launched at the same velocity if they came from different cartridges.
4. While a double rifle is the perfect DGR, every 375HH bolt gun needs to be modified to carry at least 5 down.
5. While a floor plate and detachable box magazine both use a mechanical latch, only the floor plate latch is reliable. Disregard the fact that every modern military rifle uses a detachable box magazine.
6. The Remington 700 is unreliable regardless of the fact it is the basis of the USMC M40 sniper rifle for 40+ years with no changes to the receiver or extractor and is the choice of more military and law enforcement sniper units than any other rifle.
7. PF actions are not suitable for a DGR and it is irrelevant that the M1, M14, M16, & AK47 which were designed for hunting men that can shoot back are all PF actions.
8. 95 deg F in Africa is different than 95 deg F in TX or CA and that is why you must worry about ammunition temperature in Africa (even though most safaris take place in winter) but not in TX or in CA.
9. The size of a ding in a gun's finish doesn't matter, what matters is whether it’s a safe ding or not.
10. 1 in a row is a trend, 2 in a row is statistically significant, and 3 in a row is an irrefutable fact.
11. Never buy a WSM or RCM cartridge for a safari rifle or your go to rifle in the USA because if they lose your ammo you can't find replacement ammo but don't worry 280 Rem, 338-06, 35 Whelen, and all Weatherby cartridges abound in Africa and back country stores.
12. A well hit animal can run 75 yds. in the open and suddenly drop with no initial blood trail, but the one I shot from 200 yds. away that ran 10 yds. and disappeared into a thicket and was not found was lost because the bullet penciled thru. I am 100% certain of this even though I have no physical evidence.
13. A 300 Win Mag is a 500 yard elk cartridge but a 308 Win is not a 300 yard elk cartridge even though the same bullet is travelling at the same velocity at those respective distances.

AnotherAZWriterI hunted 3A/3C last September during the rut in AZ and never saw anything with 8 pts on one beam let alone two.
As Mike D. points out, a 6x6 varies greatly.

As a born-in-Arizona senior citizen I've probably seen 2,000 trophy-class 6x6 bulls, perhaps two dozen genuine 7x7 bulls, and ZERO 8x8s in a lifetime of hunting and looking at elk. A very few 8x8 bulls are taken here, but I've never seen a live one.

Topgun 30-06If I knew how to put a photo up on this friggin Forum, I'd post one of a P&Y 285" 6x6 bull and a 357 3/8" 6x6 for the OP to take a look at and give him an idea of what's here in the US, as I didn't realize he lived in another country! The P&Y bull is very nice, but is a pipsqueak next to the bigger bull!

To echo your comment, we must have seen at least 5 or 6 six by elk every day on my hunt, sometimes more. Saw one 7x7 that I passed on on day 4. Dumb. But it was a rush to keep turning down big bulls and rolling the dice the next day.

tendramsThere are no guarantees obviously, but I have always thought the best (and maybe least expensive) way to get a really nice "B&C trophy class" elk is to just pay the money and hunt the smaller (though rare) Tule sub-species on private ground in California. Probably what...$14-$17K these days? A guy could obviously spend a good bit more than that on ONE premium B&C focused hunt in Bill's back yard or in other western states. More likely, a guy could also spend much more on SEVERAL average hunts to get one in the book from Utah, Colorado, Idaho, or Montana.

Topgun 30-06I'd go with one of the top Ranching For Wildlife ranches in Colorado if I was going to pay around $10K, give or take a couple thou! You'd have a shot at a 350"+ bull on one of those places and have some gorgeous country to do the hunt in.

The area I hunted last fall borders the White Mtn res; that place is even better than where I hunted. The hunt is 18K plus a TF of 3K if your bull is better than 375 (don't quote me, it is some high number). I would expect you would shoot a 350 at least.
I never thought a hunt like that worth it, but in the context of Cape buff, it sure is, and IMO a hunt with a zillion bugling elk is pretty damn fun.

SevensI'd think you would have a better chance going to New Zealand or maybe one of the Canadian outfits for an 8x8.
Pretty much any place that would have no reservation saying they can find you an 8x8 in the lower 48 will probably have a fence and more likely have raised the elk them self.
