I went for my normal 4 plus mile run and saw 3 wolves cross the highway about a half a mile from the house. About a week ago a deer was hit by a vehicle and I noticed that some wolves were working it. Saw their tracks but never saw them until this morning. One was very good size bigger then my 100lb lab for sure. The other two I am guessing in the 80lb range. Bigger than a large yote for sure. One needs to keep the dog close by for sure doesn't take a few wolves very long to rip a dog up.

I know 3 people who have lost bear dogs and 1 who lost a coon dog to Wolves in WI. I quit hunting my dogs there 10 years ago for that very reason. All We Know Is All We Are

We now have 11 breeding pairs in Oregon who had 33 pups survive in 2015. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

22 wolves (11 pair) in 2014 becomes 55 in 2015. At that rate: 55 wolves in 2015 would become 137 in 2016 137 wolves in 2016 would become 344 in 2017 344 wolves in 2017 would become 859 in 2018 859 wolves in 2018 would become 2,148 in 2019 2,148 wolves in 2019 would become 5,371 in 2020 5,371 wolves in 2020 would become 13,428 in 2021. A population explosion is about to occur. Or maybe I'll be visiting Oregon to help in the hunts. Remember, wolves were eradicated for a reason. .
