I was out to the ranch that Iam going elk hunting this fall hiking four wheeling. I saw a couple of really big bulls a couple of miles away.

Shoulds be a good hunt got to try my new bushnell 1600 range finder out in the MT worked well.

Shot my Ruger 338wm at 300 yards 5000ft eleveation 3 shots into 4 inchs right on.

Caught some trout shot some ground squrrels.

Had a great time over all. Can't wait to go try for a bull.

Sounds like a nice trip. Those bulls will probably keep up a couple nights before your hunt!

I hope for your sake that my hunting partner & I don't shoot both of those
bulls during Sept Archery season! We certainly will be trying. We're hunting area 704
in Southeastern Montana (an obscure area with surprisingly big elk & deer!).
Good Hunting, Jim
