kudu56This is what happens when all you have is a cow tag!

SnellstromGreat pictures!
5 years ago when my son was just turning 12 he had a late season Youth Cow tag. One day while we were in one of our favorite areas we saw 17 Bulls in one day and not a single Cow!
(group of 4 bulls then a pair then 11 bulls together) if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it.
Kudu next year carry that same cow tag with you for luck

Antelope SniperThat looks like the one I saw last year, the day after the season closed.

Wendell ReichOf course ...
Good thing you had a camera. The photo is a pretty good trophy, given the situation.

calgarychef1I'd rather eat the cow than a rangy old bull. Those big guys sure do get teh heart pounding though don't they? I've hunted elk when I wished I had a cow tag, that's the other way around though!

Brian ClarkNice looking Bull, we had the same problem this weekend during a anterless season and saw nothing but bucks. Hopefully I'll see one like that during my New Mexico Muzzleloader hunt in November.

mmaggiHappens all the time, doesn't it (Murphy's Law). When I have a doe tag I never see anything. When I don't have a doe tag I see them by the dozens, but no bucs.

I may have to eat it!

No cows yet!
I carry a decent camera in my fanny pack all the time.
