Drew another prefrence point. I've only been trying six years now, so I shouldn't complain. It sure would be nice to do this hunt while I'm young enough to not mind packing out several pounds of bullwinkel.

Snell figured my age comment would get your blood up! I just hope the moose population keeps growing. By the time I'm as old as you are now I might hvae a better than 3% chance of drawing. rotflmo

Really was hoping it was your year so I could tag along and be camp cook or something.

Apparently being a member of AR does not bode well for drawing Colorado tags!! None of us drew Sheep or Moose, what the hell???

If they would make points inheritable then at least my son could add them to his and maybe draw a tag in his lifetime!C.G.B.

You know guys I think the point system that is being used for a lot of game in the western states is promoting the high fence or preserve hunting areas. A number of hunters want to hunt when they can and not wait a lifetime for enough points. The point systems are another way for the governments to rule your life.

I am anxiously awaiting a Moose tag and a Desert Bighorn Sheep tag, not many high fence opportunities for those, not that I'd do that anyways................

Without the point system how would that make the system any better?
All of us want to hunt and you do away with the points then what?
I don't think the system is "right" but I can't think of a better one.

3 + 10 for me.

I've been trying to pull a moose tag since they started to issue them. That's the one tag I can't seem to get. I've pulled the sheep and goat tag, but so far, moose has not been in the cards for me.

I've also appled in my wife's home state of New Hampshire. That drawing is in June, so maybe there is one waiting for me up that way.

AzGuy: I drew a double unit tag, area 8 and 23, both sides of Green River Lakes, will hunt on east side, start on Osborn, Clear Creek canyon and go from there.. hunted with my son in 1997 and he killed a 7/8 curl ram out of a herd of five (I was able to tape the kill shot on video) but I was fourteen years younger.. If it kills me, I can't think of a better place to meet my maker.. Les

If you really want to hunt a Shiras bad, put in for Idaho. Some units will occasionally have left over moose tags. Their system makes a person won't let you put in for all of the species. You have to decide within 3 different choices with different species available per choice.
