Coming to Colorado, firearms on entering US?

I have been invited to join a group of hunters for elk and black bear this fall somewhere west of Denver.

I've spoken to DOW about the hunter safety certificate requirements and they will evaluate what I already have from here to see if they are equivalent.

Now I need to know what I need to do to coem into the US with a rifle and a handgun?
