I am planning ahead in case I get drawn, and want to load a box to have on hand. I am shooting a 300win mag. I like the Barnes Tshock's and the hornadys SST Interbond. I am leaning towards 180 grn bullets. I was even thinking the CT ballistic silvertips, they kill FAST, but very messy. used 150's for whitetails and the completely explode no weight retention and all in my expirence with them. Thank all. From what you have listed. Hands down the Barnes TSX 180 or 165gr. I have had very good experiences with: 53 gr TSX's on deer out of a 22-250 @ 3850fps 110gr TSX's on deer out of a 270 Win @ 3260fps 210gr TSX's on elk out of a 338-06 @ 2850fps There are other premium bullets that will work but I chose from what you listed.

Go with the 180s and 75 to 76 grains of RL-22 Free men should not be subjected to permits, paperwork and taxation in order to carry any firearm. NRA Benefactor

For my son and a cousin, I've loaded both Nosler Partitions and TSX bullets, 180gr weight. Both have done what they're supposed to. .395 Family Member DRSS, po' boy member Political correctness is nothing but liberal enforced censorship

ECHO, ECho, Echo, echo. I know a guy who loaded up the 180 TSX over Re22. Met him in the Dayton airport. He and I were both headed to CO. He shot his big elk at about 80 yards, straight on shot. Dumped it. 30378 gave you very sound advice. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns

There is the Hornady SST bullet and the Hornady Interbond bullet, but there is no Hornady SST Interbond bullet. There doesn't appear to be much experience with the 180 grain Interbond out there, yet a bunch of favorable testimony to the TSX. You learn something new everyday whether you want to or not.

IN my 300WM I reload with 180gr Accubonds, with RL-22 powder (for my rifle 2gr below MAX-gave best groups), Federal 215 MAG Primers, Winchester brass for testing at range and my hunting loads are reloaded into Winchester Supreme nickel plated cases. Great results at the range-under 1/2" 5 shot groups and same performance on big game here in Alberta. I have some 180 TSX but have yet to experiment with them. I did reload some 200gr TSX and one powder charge and they grouped very good. My opinion, stay away from the Ballistic Silvertips CTs, and go with the Accubonds, TSX or the Interbonds.

I was lucky enough to grow up in Colorado elk country and chose to live in Montana. I've taken about 30 bulls with 180 gr Nosler Partitions that chronographed 2995 fps in my .30 Gibbs. Having used Accubonds and TSX's in Africa, I wouldn't hesitate to use either of them on elk, whichever was the most accurate in my rifle. NRA Endowment Life Member

I used the 180 gr TSX on elk and mule deer - deadly and fast.

Out of the bullets you named off I'd say TSX. "Let me start off with two words: Made in America"

180 TSX and RL-22 My load is 76gr. of RL-22 with 3100fps out of a stock 24in barrel. -Everybody has a dream hunt, mine just happens to be for a Moose.- -The 30-06 is like a perfect steak next to a campfire, a .300 Win Mag is the same but with mushrooms and a baked potato-
