Finally hit the woods this weekend in Jackson County, north Alabama. I swear these dang mountains get steeper every year !
Hunted a farm that is way back in a holler with lots of "billygoat" country and is full of southern pride.

My hunting buddy Tim killed one Saturday morning and we both did some killing on Sunday. On Sunday we were on opposite sides of the holler and each shot a bird within about fifteen minutes of each other.
All the toms were your standard two year old birds. God bless those two year old birds !

Nicely done Andy.

I called a big gobbler to 18 steps Saturday morning and somehow was not able to get him killed. Mad He was NOT a 2yo. He was smart, smart, smart. He walked to where the hen should have been, saw nothing, quick stepped behind a tree, and next time I saw him he was making time down the ridge.

Very nice. I love that turkey hunting.

My oldest kid killed an Osceola Sunday morning with an 11 inch beard and 1 inch plus spurs. If I can figure how to post the picture, I will try and post it.
