Had some kiddos out at the lease in Mason this weekend....the young gentleman killed his first deer (hence the blood on his face, haha). The young lady is already an accomplished hunter, with this being her 6th or 7th deer.

Those deer with the milk still dripping off the lips are the best eating. Big Grin

Very very tender I have eaten a lot of them.

Good work by both of them.

Haha....yes they are tender. But these deer really weren't that young. The boy's doe was 2.5-3.5 years old and the girl's doe was 3.5-4.5 years old. That is just the normal size for our little Texas deer.

I would imagine deer in Wisconsin are probably about that size when they are born Big Grin
