I have a strange question about outfitters and guides in the North East. My father and I would like to take a guided hunting trip (big game). We live in NY and don't wish to fly to our destination. We thought maybe if we kept the driving to maybe 15hrs or so maybe we could find a nice guided hunt within that driving distance around NY.

Any thoughts on outfitters, places, species, etc...would be excellent.

What kind of big game??? Not enough deer in NY state ???? Moose in Maine is very hard to draw(maybe 20-30 years). Bear is ok in ME. I would be happy to take you deer hunting in MA, but we only use shotguns, bows, and black powder here. I know some bear guides in Maine if you're interested. I also personally know of some good deer hunting in Maine. They have a lot of 200-300lb deer. As far as the rest of the northeast, you've got more deer in NY than VT,NH,MA and CT put together.
