How do you measure a bear skull for score in BC? Is there a web site that shows a diagram?

If you go to Boone & Crockett's official web page, you can download and print off the official forms needed to score bears. Check out http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgRecords/bc_scoring_bear.asp?area=bgRecords&type=Bear Here all you have to do is measure in the length and they do all the math. There is also a "main index" to score trophys and they have a downloadable PDF format as well... MG

Predator skulls are simple. Just add the greatest lenglth to the greatest width and you have the score. If a bear's skull is say, 7" wide and 11" long then it's score is 18.

Don't forget too that the measurement MUST be taken with the lower jaw removed from the skull for the score to be offical. The skull must then be levelled on a flat surface.I've found that a bullet box, placed under the tip of the upper jaw is about the right height to level most skulls for measurement. Thanks guys I found it on the BC site. Shot a nice bear a few years ago in CA and never measured it. Turned out to be 18 1/4.
