Midimize, The stock on mine is made by HS Precision with the full length bedding block surrounded by fiberglass. It was originally chambered for the .300 Win. Mag. with the B.O.S.S. In this mode it shot approximately 1/2" 5 shot groups with a few different handloads. I re-chambered the original barrel to .300 RUM Match with a PPG reamer. Loads worked up with the BOSS are a pain in the behind with the original barrel. I have found that it is easier and far less expensive to take the BOSS off and develop a load just like normal. In defense of the BOSS I will admit that the recoil is significantly reduced. I have since replaced the original barrel with a Schneider that is 28" long with a 13 twist. With 200 grain bullets it will shoot .625" to .750" at 200 yards from the bench for as long as you can sit behind it and concentrate. It has however wrecked 2 scopes so far. Bill

I shoot a 7mm STW Winchester Model 70 Laredo with a Boss and like the rifle and Boss. Mine will shoot 160 gr. Barnes XLC bullet in one hole if I can do my part on the shooting end. Start with the recommended settings the factory gives you and you sweet spot will not be far from that. My barrel did like the 160 gr. bullets much better than the 140 grainers. It took me two years to find that one hole group with the later. Good luck and good shooting. ------------------
