So thats where you were spending the money i sent you for the scope, I seriously considered taking up Bobs offer too. As for trophy size, my wife does it to me too.

We had a great hunt Saturday! I picked Mark and his wife up at the airport Friday night after their flights were delayed. They were flying in from Birmingham, AL and had just gotten hammered by Hurricane Ivan. When they left they had no power or phone service. We didn't get to my place until after 1:00 AM. After getting all of 3-4 hours of sleep, we hit the road early in the morning. Mark65x55 and his wife both took nice bucks. Mark got his early in the morning after a nice stalk through a tree line on a buck with several does. He made a good shot at 150 yards and dropped him. Mark's wife and I made 3 stalks over the next 7 hours. Our last stalk was on a bedded buck out in the open. He had busted us earlier in the day coming in from the other direction. We started stalking him from about 400 yards out with only 1 tree between him and us for cover. We were able to get within 180 yards. The last 80-90 yards was on our hands and knees. The buck got up once, looked around, and sat back down. She settled in and made a nice 180 yard shot on him. Sunday we bopped around San Antonio a bit and went to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the Mercado (the Mexican Market). I really enjoyed getting to know Mark and his wife. They are great folks to hunt with and to just hang out with.

Bob

Here are some pics from our hunt:

GonHuntin,I had to hear it from LaRita and Bob all weekend and now you too... oh, well. Yep, hers is bigger, its got more mass and the spread is a little more too. Bob, you know we had a great time!! Thanks for all your help, your understanding with the flight delays, a good hunt and taking the time to show us around your city. We'd very much like to do it again someday, just with a little more sleep

NICE bucks both! I've hunted with Mark and can attest to the fact that good company is the best part of ANY hunt.

Best,
