Services for Cody Jones, 44, of Kopperl will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Cleburne. Dr. Danny Crosby will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Durham, Keith Hall, Chris Pannill, Jeff Kennedy, Clint Hoffman and Bryan King. Honorary pallbearer will be David Johnson. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cody Jones passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. He was born Nov. 7, 1971, in Cleburne to Tom Frank and Sandra Kathleen Davis Jones.
Mr. Jones owned and operated a wildlife ranch and was an avid outdoorsman, a natural entrepreneur, and a loving, devoted and proud father. He was a member of the Safari Club International. While Cody served on the board of directors of the North Texas Chapter as vice president for three years; he was instrumental in the chapter’s mission of supporting youth in the outdoors and youth hunting awareness. Cody devoted countless hours of his personal time and efforts to support youth hunting as he knew that the future of hunting was dependent on our younger generation. He had over 20 years of a multitude of entrepreneurial successes. He was co-owner of H9 Water and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleburne.
Survivors include his daughter, Kendall Jones of Cleburne; Kendall’s mother, Kimberly Jones of Burleson; his beloved dog, Tigger; brother, Duane Jones and wife, Shnelle, of Decatur; sister, Suzi Ormsby and husband, Floyd, of Cleburne; two uncles, Ben Hill Jones and wife Annelle of Cleburne and Jimmy Jones and wife, Glenda, of Keene; and a number of nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
