I am looking at doing a Bison hunt this fall. Any suggestions or recomendations on outfitters or areas? I would like to keep it to the lower 48.

I got mine on Ted Turner's Flying D ranch near Bozeman, MT.

Try montanahuntingcompany.com

The buffalo hides are prime right now.

Contact the White Buffalo Ranch at (406) 666-2477. It's located on the Crow Indian Reservation. Good people run it.

depends on what kind of hunt you want. most bison hunts seem to be 1 or 2 day affairs on a ranch where getting one is no problem. In the wild there are few hunts offered, because there are few wild bison. One thing about it, the meat from a bison is really excellent. I believe i'd take it over good beef, plus the cholesterol levels are less than that of chicken

We offer Bison hunts. We hunt two different ranches that have Bison there in South Texas, and the Texas Hill Country. Bison are considered exotics in Texas so there's no drawing for tags and the exotic hunting license is only $45.
If this is something that you or any other members of the forum are interested in the details are on our website.
