Instead of dreaming up a new gun I have got to get off of my seat and do something before I go 100% deaf. Here are some links to products that can be worn in the field as thats what I am talking about. We all can get muffs for the range but I would not wear them all day in the field. I have to do something and I want to find out whats going on. http://www.earinc.com/p1-electronic-minicanalreg.php http://www.espamerica.com/ http://www.gunaccessories.com/EARinc/default.asp I just spoke with Ear inc. and they have models that can be programed to compensate for frequency loss. Just get a audiologist to send the report to them and they will custom program the protectors for you. Here is the best one that they have. http://www.earinc.com/p1-electronic-hunting-digital.php It would be the Full Shell one if wind noise matters. I really wish I had done something before. Even a year ago would have mattered. Join the NRA

Call EAR in Colorodo. Hollyn is the main lady. I have known her for a while. They make a good product. I think a set of digitals now is around 700-800. Maybe you can get an AR discount. I would ask her if there was enough interest. PM me if you want more information. York, SC

G'day, I have used the Walkers game ear (the basic version) for a few years now, no problems execpt for the wind noise at certain angles. If you shop around, you can pick them up for about $40 -$50 a set. Cheers, Dave. Cheers, Dave. Aut Inveniam Viam aut Faciam.

I also understand the Radiens are quite good for $60-$80per set from Cabelas. I personally use the Peltor tac6 muffs when hunting. Provides very good audio and keeps the ears warm as well. I have used the Pro Ears for about four seasons and they work pretty good. Have to be very careful with the on/off switch or you will go thru a lot of batteries. I believe they have come out with a type that fits around the back on your head rather than across the top which should be a little better for those wearing hats, etc.
