I have recently set up some feed stations on narrow trails to stop deer as they cross. Can anyone reccomend an inexpensive game camera system that I could easily import to the UK? Night time use is not so important (how do the deer react to the flash?) What is involved in having remote access to the images?

The best trailcams are the homemade ones. Go to Pixcontoller.com. They even sell complete units. They are a bit pricey but performance is better than anything else out there, if you can afford them. Elite Archery and High Country dealer.

1894, Some of the cameras with ight time ability have an infared flash so the animal/subject isn't alerted to its existence. Handy for poacher monitoring too... FB

I have 13 Cuddebacks and wouldn't consider using anything else. I don't worry about the flash scaring anything. A flash of lightning would do the same. Here is a picture of a mature whitetail buck with the flash going off right in his face.

I would second what M-16 said about the flash, but if that's a concern, the new infrared units address that. M 16, high 140's to mid 150's?? They always look so huge with the velvet!

I think the concern with the flash in the UK is that it might draw the attention of people that would be inteested in "borrowing" it. FB
