A few scenery pics from my weekend hunting trip in the national forest.Hope you like them. First up,a pic of a golden eagle that was feeding on a roadkill down in the ditch..Didnt fly till I was only a few feet away.Big bird up close.got the camera out as fast as I could.not very good,I know. next I liked the contrast of the evergreen against the brown of the red oak. the camera focused on the birch in front, and I didnt notice till later these yellow tamarac or larch trees are common here I posted a pic of this lake last year here.I still like the spot, have to stop and admire it whenever I go past.same lake as the evergreen photo above.you can see the evergreen between the two birch trees on the left. ****************************************************************** SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM ***********

jb, the pictures are very nice. I especially like the second one. I found my self wondering what kind of fish live in that lake. Alan But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.-Thomas Jefferson

Fall is a very nice season, indeed, not only because of the hunting.
